Welcome to The Jam Jar of York! We are Melissa and Brennan, two professional chefs embarking on our dream of bringing comforting, hand-baked afternoon tea directly to our local neighbors.
We believe that an afternoon tea is more than just food—it's a cozy ritual, a beautiful conversation, and a moment to slow down. That’s why we put our heart into every single bake, from the fluffiness of our cheddar scones to the delicate pattern of our signature Battenberg.
Inspired by York’s famous ducks (featured as our sweet mascot wearing an apron in our hand-drawn logo!), we hope to become your go-to bakehouse for special celebrations or a relaxing lazy Sunday.
Behind the cosy branding is genuine professional pedigree. Melissa and Brennan are both trained chefs with years of kitchen experience — including time with a renowned hospitality group — so every box is made to a restaurant standard, not just a home-baking one.
